A journey into the heart of Zambia

Zambia’s three stunning premier parks are all different. The lagoons and riverine woodland of the Luangwa, the escarpment and water experience of the Lower Zambezi, the miombo woodland and vast open plains of North Kafue are contrasting and all host exceptional game. The camps are small, personal and immaculately run.

The unspoiled South Luangwa National Park is one of natural jewels in Zambia’s crown, and home to one of the most varied collections of wildlife on the planet. The park is cantered around the Luangwa River. Tena Tena Camp is in a prime location, the Nsefu Sector, abundant in wildlife.

The Lower Zambezi where Kutali and Chula Camps are situated, is a key national park of Zambia, lies between the rugged and dramatic Zambezi escarpment and the wide and spectacular Zambezi River. There are many channels, lagoons, sandbanks and islands along the river and then open plains, woodland and bush areas behind the riverine strip.

Kafue is Zambia’s oldest park and the second largest national park in the world (22400 sq. km and about the size of Wales) and yet it is not a park with a success story. For many years the park was mostly unvisited, and it is only recently that camps have started to develop. Musekese Camp and its sister camp Ntemwa-Busanga are situated in the northern region of the Kafue National Park, in the famed Busanga Plains area.

Zambia's three stunning premier parks are all different. The lagoons and riverine woodland of the Luangwa, the escarpment and water experience of the Lower Zambezi, the miombo woodland and vast open plains of Kafue are contrasting and all host exceptional game. The camps are small, personal and immaculately run. This is a spectacular safari through Zambia - remote areas, with dedicated guides and excellent game.

The Nsefu Sector was recognized then as a phenomenal area and it still is. Robin Pope Safaris owns the only two camps in this sector of the park. Tena Tena is a remote intimate camp which lies within the Nsefu Sector, enjoys a stunning location on a bend of the Luangwa River. Most meals are taken under the shade of a huge Mahogany tree in the centre of the camp. On arrival you will be shown to your tent and then lunch will be served followed by a well-deserved siesta before the afternoon and evening game drive. TENA TENA
