Livingstone Island is located on the edge of Victoria Falls and is the very spot where Dr David Livingstone famously stated, “Scenes so lovely, must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight.” The island is managed by Green Safaris, and this experience is truly unmissable. Guests are transported to the island by boat, where an expert guide will meet you, imparting knowledge about this equally beautiful and historic destination. Unique to the Zambian side of the falls, guests can safely swim in Devil’s Pool, a naturally occurring rock pool on the edge of the waterfall and have the thrilling opportunity to look over the very edge as thousands of litres of water spill over into the abyss below. A very seasonal activity, access depends entirely on the Zambezi River levels. Devil’s Pool is usually open between mid-August and late December, and the island is open a little longer on both sides of that.
Bring bathing suits, sunblock, hats, water shoes (available to rent). Towels will be provided. There is a lockable trunk on the island to lock away valuables and bathrooms to change. There is a shop at the launch site as well as well as coffee and alcoholic drinks for purchase at the launch site. A sumptuous meal provided during your selected slot (not on Walking tour). Bring your water bottle, camera, and sunglasses along. Only strong swimmers allowed to do swimming activities. Minimum Age: 8 years old for the island; 12 years old for Devil’s Pool / Angel’s Pool and Walking tour.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Victoria Falls (Zambia)
On Arrival at the Victoria Falls Airport you will be met by a Tongabezi Lodge representative and transferred to lodge. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will be welcomed by Management with a welcome drink and refresher towel. You will be checked into your accommodation and allowed some time to settle in. Depending on arrival time at the Lodge you will be able to partake in the activities as listed below. After you have settled in you can discuss what activities you would like to participate in. Overnight at lodge all meals, non-premium drinks and activities included per day. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Victoria Falls (Zambia)
After and early morning boat cruise you will enjoy breakfast at the lodge and embark on a day filled with adventure.

Return to lodge for Overnight Accommodation.
Day 3: Victoria Falls (Zambia)
After Breakfast you will embark on a day filled with adventure as per details below.
Zimbabwean Side Falls Tour
Some guests like to experience the Falls from both the Zambian and the Zimbabwe sides. We can arrange a tour of the Zimbabwean side for you from the border. We suggest you do the Zambian Falls tour with our Tongabezi guides, and then you will be transferred to another guide at the border who will assist you with a tour on the Zimbabwe side.

Dinner on a Steam Train
Climb aboard a luxurious steam train and journey to Victoria Falls Bridge where you will enjoy the sunset before delighting in a delicious 5 course meal.
• Pick-up at 15.20.
• This activity is not recommended for children under 12 years.
• Please note there is a smart casual dress code.
After your delicious meal on the steam train, you will be transferred back to Lodge for overnight accommodation.
